CUHK-Shenzhen Kicks Off the Ninth Sports Festival
On the afternoon of March 6, over 600 students and staff from CUHK-Shenzhen, forming 150 teams, gathered for the launch of the Ninth Sports Festival with the thrilling Signal Jungle Safari.
This event combined outdoor exploration, physical endurance, and radio technology. Guided by maps and equipped with professional radio direction-finding devices, participants decoded Morse code signals, determined signal strength and direction, located hidden transmitters across campus, and completed challenging tasks along the route. The competition not only tested stamina and strategy, but also offered students and staff a unique opportunity to experience radio direction finding through teamwork and collaboration.
Across the vibrant campus, participants fully embraced the energy of the activity. The race concluded in a lively and joyful atmosphere, setting an energetic tone for the upcoming Sports Festival. Over the next 40 days, a series of competitions will be held, where teams from different colleges will continue to showcase their sportsmanship, team spirit and perseverance, creating unforgettable memories together.
